Jenna Joo is an analyst at Ithaka S+R in the Educational Transformation program, where her work focuses on providing analytic and project management support for multi-year, large-scale research projects that aim to broaden access to education and increase student learning outcomes in technology-enabled postsecondary educational settings.
Jenna holds a master's degree and PhD in education from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a bachelor's degree in developmental psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has a strong interest in bringing nontraditional frameworks into the studies of teaching and learning in higher education. Her dissertation work was part of an in-depth ethnographic study of an engineering professor’s design logic underlying a unique global engineering course which used technology to connect students and teaching teams across multiple international institutions to develop their capacities to work in intercultural contexts.
